ParticipantQuick question about the hardware trim with A2A aircraft. As far as I can work out, the hardware trim option in the Brunner software removes the pressure you are putting on the yoke, so you pitch the yoke to maintain your desired attitude in sim and the use the trim buttons to remove the pressure and keep the yoke in that position (this is how it should be in real life).
However, this option does not seem to send this information to the sim, so that the trim gauge in the the sim does not change. Basically you are trimming your Brunner hardware, not the sim aircraft. This causes autopilot issues too.
If disable Hardware trim in the Brunner software and use the buttons on your yoke to send trim commands to the sim, it does trim in sim, but your Brunner yoke works as if you are trimming an aircraft with a trimmable horizontal stabiliser. This means that you are trimming to return your Brunner yoke to its mid position (which would be fine in a 737, but not a Comanche or Aerostar).
Has anyone worked out a way to trim correctly in A2A aircraft?
