You need to provide as much detail as possible if you need help.

have you done this step for example (see image) or downloaded the online install help file and followed that?

Thanks for getting back. I have CLS-E NG yoke. I’ve never seen the image you posted. All I know of is under settings in CLS2Sim v5.8.13. software.

That page is part of the initial install sequence but can be accessed when launching CLS if you quickly select SETTINGS before it opens into the main page. Your image does show DCS is selected so thats one step crossed off the list.

    – the CLS guide is attached, there is a newer version out but it’s not on this ipad and its readily available on the Brunner webpage. Follow the advice and you should be connected in no time.

Launch DCS and be in an aircraft BEFORE launching CLS, ensure you have NOT assigned the Brunner yoke axes within DCS, CLS takes care of this. Take baby steps as this is very much a “walk before you run” process+software.

I have the stick and pedals and use XP12 so can only provide basic advice as no knowledge of DCS, please keep this in mind.

oh, and use the “DEFAULT” profile for a while. Make a copy, rename it and LINK it to your aircraft so it’ll automatically select your preferred profile. Later on any changes you make in “your” profile won’t affect the DEFAULT profile.

You can make loads of different profiles and link them to different aircraft, there’s a profile download page too thats worth a look.

And if things get really screwy Brunner have a factory defaults profile to use to get you out of jail – (ask me how I know!!)

Fired up my Sim and can see an issue with your settings, your yoke isn’t showing as a USB device.

Check the USB cable is plugged directly into the PC, don’t use a USB hub for this. (it’s also good practice to keep the USB cable short aa possible with Brunner devices).

Also double check mains power is actually reaching the yoke, basic I know but it’s all too easy for a plug to half-seat itself at the power brick or in the back of the Yoke.

    My image below for clarity.

The only problem I have is with DCS, MSFS works fine. My yoke was power down when I took the screen shot. I just wanted you to see my settings. Sorry for not making that clear.

That page is part of the initial install sequence but can be accessed when launching CLS if you quickly select SETTINGS before it opens into the main page. Your image does show DCS is selected so thats one step crossed off the list.

I tried a number of times to get that page to come up, but couldn’t.

Do you have your controller working with DCS?

    Thanks

Yep, I got the same today when checking stuff over, apologies for that as it must only show up during the software install (possibly the plug-in steps shown below.)

I don’t use DCS at all just XP but have you completed these instructions from the manual:

    “DCS World

Open the “Simulator plugin installers” folder in the installation directory.
Run the file “DCS World plugin installer.exe” on the machine running DCS World.

How to get DCS running with CLS2Sim.

    Uninstall vJoy
Install the new CLS2Sim (will reinstall vJoy with FFB capabilities)
Install the DCS Plugin in the CLS2Sim installation folder
Run DCS, choose a flight and pause when you are in the Cockpit.
Start CLS2Sim, select DCS as simulation in the settings window.
Create a new Profile in CLS2Sim.
Go to the new “vJoy Force Feedback” tab and enable FFB.
Set Amount of force to 10% for starters. Increase to your liking.
Apply profile and close profile manager.
Unpause in DCS and push the plane to its limit for turbulences, or shoot the plane’s gun to feel the joystick kick.
If you deactivate hydraulics in the profile manager, the joystick will react to airspeed change.”

A re-install is always wworth the time with things like this, otherwise it looks like a ticket needs to be raised so Brunner can log in remotely and help you (far better than I can😏)

Let me try to process your info, might be over my head hehe. At first I tried a ticket, but gave up, very clumsy process. I get the feeling they don’t any questions.

Thanks for trying to help, but I give up. I messed up my other settings, so I’m going to start all over, & forget about DCS.

    Hello guys,
I am facing the same issue here in 2026.
I have followed the instructions in the manual. They are still the same as in your post, @Taildragger.
However: When I run CLS2Sim in the DCS mode and open my profile management page, I see no VJoy FFB settings. I can only see those settings if I run CLS2Sim in “Emulate HID USB device”, but then I cannot connect to DCS when I actually run the sim.

I would love some help with this as I really am missing the extra effects…

I’d raise a ticket with Brunner if I were you – they were very responsive to a ticket I raised and (with my permission) logged in remotely to assist. (It turned out to be a hardware issue which was fixed under warranty but shows what they can do from Switzerland!!).

Think I might install DCS and see for myself but maybe have a look for “G-loc media” on Youtube who flys DCS with Brunner stuff.

@Taildragger thanks for the quick reply. Yeah I honestly can’t imaging that it is simply not present if they detail that it is an actual effect they have, especially considering that the stick shaker, in principle, is a feature they have implemented.
I will raise a ticket and try to get it working.
    Thanks again and best regards,
    Alex : )
