Hi, i bought the CLS E NG yoke and it arrived yesterday, i have to say, this is the best yoke i ever used considering the fact that i’ve been in some professional cockpit simulators before and this thing is close if not better that those. My question is: When i’ve received my yoke yesterday i coldn’t find any desk clamp in the package even though the manual clearly says that it can be mounted with them, if they don’t come with the yoke, do i have to purchase them through the brunner website? If yes where? Or are they supposed to be some standard size that i can find them easily on the internet?

    Thank you.

I have a wooden desk I only use for my flight sim rig. So I screwed the yoke to the desk using the 4 holes in the “feet” of the yoke stand/box.

Didn’t even know there were supposed to be any clamps to mount it to a desk. Maybe that is something new since I had mine for about 2 years or so.

This is exactly what i wanted to avoid, since i’m a sim racing enthusiast as well and is quite hard to switch everytime from the yoke to the steering wheel XD, would be inconvenent to unscrew the yoke from the desk eveytime i have to switch, so a desk clamp would be perfect for me.

P.S. how do you feel with the yoke 2 years after? Is it still working well? any sign of wear? Thank you very much!

Got you and fully understand your situation!

Couldn’t be more happy with the yoke. Works as well as when I first got it and hopefully it will serve me well many years to come!

I just received my yoke yesterday, and likewise there were no clamps in my package. It was one of my first remarks made on my unboxing video after I removed everything from the box. However the quickstart guide has a picture of some clamps. Yet if you read more deeply, it states what’s included in the box, and there’s no mention of clamps on the bill of materials.

So I think you have to go out and select appropriate clamps to do this job. That’s not easy. Enter the word “clamps” into google and more likely than not you’ll get clamps that don’t have the right form for inserting into the metal slots provided. You need the right type of clamp, and the specific vocabulary to search on is not in my field of knowledge.

I bought 2 clamps on Ebay, here’s the link:

They should arrive today, i don’t know if they are the right dimensions, but they are pretty small so would be no problem for me grinding them off a little bit.

I will post here any update.

However Brunner should not mention desk clamps and show pictures of them in the manual if they are not included in the package or can be bought separately from their site.

I’ll be interested if they get the job done. I’m using a set of Irwin Quick Grips at the moment, and they are far too bulky for long term use.

I think the general term for the clamps we need are called “Fence Clamps”.

They arrived but they are a bit to large 20mm (the slots are 13.5mm), i clamped them on the 2 outside flanges and they seem to work just fine so eventually i will decide if keep it like this or grinding them off, the previous clamps i was using was some carpenter clamps and they were really uncomfortable because they were in the space of my legs, the new ones works just fine, the yoke doesn’t move a mill.

One recommendation completely unrelated. Get some pads on those metal feet!

When I slid my Brunner into position on my desk it left some rather deep scratches on my desk. I’ve now fitted some pads underneath the feet to stop this happening again. It looks like you have a nice desk there, so make sure your investment is protected.

Yep i got a few little scratches as well, luckily they are not visible because they are under the yoke/steering wheel and i won’t see them because there’s always something attached to the desk. Thank you for your suggestion, i personally switch very frequently between the yoke and the steering and certainly i don’t want to throw away my desk doing that.

I use these, about ten of them, and the yoke does not budge.

Has anyone found a solution to this that involves clamps and not mounting strips or drilling holes in a desk?
I’ve been searching the Web for hours trying to find clamps that fit into a 13mm x 5mm slot and I can’t find them.
I’m not sure how Brunner expects you to find these on your own.

I have purchased 2x steel Microphone desk clamps and removed the screw mount for the microphone then drilled a 5mm diameter hole so the clamp lines up with the front mounting tab on the yoke and bolted them to the yoke with M5 bolts. I’ve added some self adhesive felt furniture pads to the clamps and back of the yoke to level it and prevent it scratching the desk top.
