I asked about this in an email before and was told the problem is the NGX apparently doesn’t send the correct data for the pitch axis as it does for the roll axis.

With the AP engaged in the NGX the yoke moves fine for the roll axis but for the pitch axis there’s hardly any movement at all even when the percent of way used by AP setting in CLS2Sim is set to the max value (500). This is the same value I’m using for the roll axis to have natural movement. Using the default value of 100 will result in pretty much the same thing as for the pitch axis – hardly any movement at all even when you see the virtual yoke in the NGX move along both axes with the AP.

I realize this is a hard thing for you guys to fix if the problem is within the NGX rather than in your software but I’m still hoping you’ll eventually come up with a workaround or even a true solution maybe with help from PMDG because it would be really, really nice to have the same natural movement for the pitch axis as for the roll axis and especially in an aircraft such as the PMDG NGX where the AP is engaged most of the time during a normal flight.

    Hi

We have done an adjustment in the autopilot for elevator in PMDG NGX
Set the Autopilot settings as follow and download the CLS2Sim.exe from the provided link we have sent you in a mail

Checkbox: “Don’t set pos in AP mode” enabled for Pitch and Roll
“Percent of way used by AP” set to 100

    Regards

    Hi Stefan,

Will the fixed exe also work with the new 4.2.0 version of CLS2Sim just released?

    OK, thanks.

Is there a special reason why the fixed exe wasn’t included in the new version?

I guess everyone flying the NGX would like to have a working AP for both axes.

    Cheers,

    Richard

Ok, so the fix indeed is included in the new version. That’s great!

Didn’t think that was the case since it wasn’t mentioned in the release notes.
