I forgot to mention all along that the CLS2Sim main window shows a red “Fault” box for the Simulation with a low number of updates (usually about 10, 13 in the attached screen shot). This is for every aircraft and profile I have tested.

The updates per seconds are roughly half the X-Plane frame rate.
They are colored red, because your X-Plane frame rate went under 30 frames/sec.

This is not fatal, it just means that you have a slow update rate.
You can remedy this only by either lowering the X-Plane graphics settings or upgrading your hardware.
I suggest you try to keep your frame rate around 40. In many cases, cloud settings are the culprit.

Regarding the Yoke Aileron axis moving to one side:
For those using X-Plane, try deactivating the turbulence feature, this should temporarily remedy the situation.
If you are using P3D/FSX the behavior is also coming from the AP. You’ll have to wait for the patch.

Thank you very much for the information.

I have only occasionally looked at the CLS2Sim main window while flying. I believe the simulation update box is yellow most of the time since my frame rates are usually between 30 and 40 and, you are very right about the clouds, go below 30 with any kind of weather. I can hardly upgrade my hardware since I have an i7 7700K overclocked to 4.8 GHZ and an NVidia Titan X Pascal, and my XP11 settings are below max for both objects and visual effects; I do, however drive 3 2560×1440 monitors and always use real weather. (I must have been in bad weather each time I looked at the update rate ;-D) I have not noticed any ill-effect from the low update rates, so no harm done. Until Laminar improves frame rates with code optimization and Vulkan (within one year, I gather), I will be content with trying for 30+ frame rates.

Regarding the Yoke Aileron axis moving to one side, disabling the turbulence feature does remedy the situation for the Baron B58 (the only one I checked). Out of curiosity, can you tell me why the turbulence feature does not induce the same error in the 172?

    Hi all
I found an interesting story about X-Plane Prop Wash and Torque.
