I’ve managed to map a few buttons from my CLS-E MK II Yoke to X-Plane via the vJoy driver, but I’m not able to map any from the right thumb stick.

I’m not even trying to get any analog reading from it, just a simple TOP, RIGHT, BOTTOM, LEFT activation, which I can see working in the CLS2Sim software (the green circle highlights when pushing the stick in the corresponding direction, for a total of 4 possible activations).

Is there any special configuration I need to do so these 4 “buttons” can make it to X-Plane 12, just like the other ones? For example, I have successfully mapped the right button on the left side of the yoke to an X-Plane action to reset & start the timer, that works, but I can’t replicate this success with the right thumb stick.

Is that supposed to work, or does it only work with “regular buttons” (i.e. not the thumb stick)?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

If you have connected the yoke via USB then it should (see caveat) be possible to assign functions to this hatswitch in XP12 settings in the normal way – just the hatswitch/buttons NOT the axes of course.

If the yoke is connected via network cable to the pedals I’ve discovered only the functions contained in the CLS2Sim software are available as XP12 no longer recognises the yoke is connected.

It is possible/allowed to ignore the Brunner device connection diagram and run the USB to the yoke and then connect the pedals via the network cable and this is how my system is connected.

Big caveat here, I have the stick not the yoke and XP recognises the Thrustmaster handgrip as a USB device, it may be different for the yoke.

Thanks @Taildragger – I will experiment with various connection options and see if I can improve on things.

Currently I have the Rudders connected to the PC via USB, and the Yoke connected to the Rudders via CAT5.
