    Hi Folks

I am new to MSFS2020 as of yesterday, and i am computer illiterate. I have read all the posts here and frankly do not know enough about the yoke and settings that i need to have. I would greatly appreciate some help. I have downloaded and installed the latest software for the CLS-E yoke, but it does not give me the choice of Settings/MS Flight simulator X/MSFS2020. I only see FSX?

However i selected it, and i have a connection. I am trying to fly the C172, can barely get it off the ground with trim set at take-off, the trim seems to be very sensitive. I need to figure a way to map it to the yoke?? Help?

Also if anyone has the settings i need for the 172 i would really appreciate. The ailerons are extremely slow to respond; the yoke takes a huge amount of pressure to pull back, or push forward. I can’t fly the plane with current settings. I have Crosswind pedals mapped for rudder and brakes and that works well. Can someone help with yoke settings??
Many thanks from an old guy in the US!

What can one do when he/she doesn’t have the computer skills to make a profile? I am at the age that I can’t foresee the ability to create a profile. As a case in point, I fly the RealAir Turbine Duke quite a lot, and none of the profiles fit it exactly enough. Maybe one of you guys have the Duke and would be willing to share?
Stefan created a few good ones when I first bought the yoke, the Phenom 300 works great as does the Beech Baron.

Any ideas? I’ll check this forum again. Greetings to all from North Carolina “first in flight”.

I had the same question. Was just going to post when I read your question, and the reply. I don’t have an easy way to get in back and disconnect. Will leave it on unless i hear more.

    Hey Bill

VERY helpful, thanks! I think I understand the buttons now, and checking the aircraft that i have in the hangar seems the yoke works fine for trim, flaps, a/p, and the button in the back for parking brake. But I have no idea what the others do: axis, analog, hydraulics, etc. Perhaps I don’t need to use those?
I changed aircraft mid-flight to see if the yoke display would change to the new a/c; and it does not.
Been simming for probably 25 years, now on the 4th or 5th rebuild of my computer. Lucky that my son can do it for me, as i have no clue what’s inside. Here are my specs from AVSIM:

Lennie, Henderson, North Carolina. Piper Warrior II pilot; Volairsim cockpit; Corsair 750D case; Corsair 850W PS; Maximus IX Mobo; Samsung EVO 850 SSD; Toshiba 3TB ExtHD; 3-ASUS Proart 24″ monitors; 2-GTX 1080ti video cards; I7-7700k CPU; Saitek instruments and panels – SPAD, MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; Brunner CLS-E yoke and Go-Flight throttle; Win10 Pro; P3Dv4, PTA, Active Sky, and lots of ORBX stuff.

Even with the processor and current video cards I still have problems near LAX and JFK among others, I suppose I need to move some sliders in P3d, or just stay away from the big ones! The only large a/c I have are the F-27 and S340; tend to fly Mooney and a number of twins more to smaller airports. I enjoy flying low and taking in the scenery. And the Grand Caravan in the Caribbean.

Again, thanks! And stay in touch! lennie@agrotours.com

    Hi Bill

Many thanks, you have answered my question. I did not know that by pressing a button it would show in the software. From looking at all the aircraft listed in the “cloud” seems that all have the same functions like elevator trim, a/p on and off, flaps up/down on the same button so i guess it doesn’t matter which aircraft is selected, all are the same; or am i mistaken? I can change aircraft in the middle of a flight without making a change in the CLS software and it doesn’t change how the yoke works?

I am really new at this and know only a little about computers. I need all the help I can get. So thanks again!

Danke Vielmals, Stephan. I look forward to receiving more profiles. Can you also please tell me how to download the yoke manual? Seems it wants another PW. I have the forum PW of course, and another one sent via email [software, etc] but neither of these let me get into downloads. FYI i do not have email on my sim computer, i am writing this from my office machine.

There are many choices and settings that I do not understand, and I think the manual will help.

    Hi Stefan

My son actually posted the above as he was trying to set up the yoke for the first time. He got it done!

I am enjoying flying the Baron and the C172 with the new yoke. Its really great. But I can’t seem to fly the F-27 or the Saab 340 with it. I assume that i need a profile, but I do not know how to make one, and there are none in the cloud. I also like to fly the Shrike, and again i need a profile. Are there step by step instructions on how to do this somewhere? If so point me to it!

I also fly the Phenom 300, but have not tried that with your yoke yet.

Thanks, and a big “HI” to Mario!
