Yes. I’ve notice that forces are unbelievably light in GA planes. Almost as if hydraulically boosted. No more stutters, but almost no force feedback. And yes, I’ve turned off USB emulation; I do have Use FSX checked; and I have ticked the “Forcema vJoy Axes to Pitch/Roll…”
So Diego, or Stefan, could you recheck the yoke/sim combo and advise what’s going on now, and what the proper settings are?
Best,
Marshall03/09/2020 at 09:28 #1925webmaximusParticipantAnother thing I would like to know is if we should do all tuning in CLS2Sim and/or some of it in MSFS and its sensitivity settings?
I’ll play around more with this myself when time permits but would be very nice with some basic guide-lines from you guys at Brunner as previously mentioned.
I’ll also try out one of the existing profiles as suggested by someone earlier. Reason I didn’t do that already was I wasn’t too sure how well profiles created for a completely different simulator would work in this new simulator. However, can’t hurt giving it a go!
03/09/2020 at 10:52 #1926webmaximusParticipantJust did a quick test using the C172 profile made by Stefan but I still get the same behavior described above, how moving the physical yoke (CLS-E in my case if that matters) to about 80 degrees shows as 45 degrees in MSFS.
Also, it’s still extremely sensitive along both axes. During takeoff for example, you need to be VERY careful pulling back on the yoke to be able to perform a smooth takeoff. Where only a couple of mm movement on the physical yoke makes a huge difference in pitch in the simulator. This in combination with how little force is required to move the physical yoke makes it quite challenging to fly the aircraft with stability even when properly trimmed.
03/09/2020 at 11:00 #1927Diego BĂĽrginKeymasterHi everyone
Good news.
With the new FS2020 update (1.7.14.0) Microsoft has fixed the freezing issue.
EDIT:
I will check the Force issues and get back to you.
The old FSX profiles might have to be adjusted.
Also, AP seems to need The checkbox “Don’t set pos in AP mode” in CLS2Sim AP tab checked to work.Regards
Diego03/09/2020 at 11:10 #1928webmaximusParticipantThanks Diego.
03/09/2020 at 11:29 #1929wrap23ParticipantYay! Thanks Diego for keeping us informed as MS sorted this out.
Respect,

If you download the right profil for your plane the force behavior is the same for all simulators (XPlane, FSX, Prepare3d, and MSFS )
Do not map any axis in the Simulator over vjoy or game controller, this is done in CLS2Sim (Force map vJoy Axes to Pitch/Roll is not needed)

>>>(CLS-E in my case if that matters) to about 80 degrees shows as 45 degrees in MSFS.This is normal behavior in FSX and now also in MSFS, you will have the same with an USB Yoke
You can correct this with the Linearity Settings

Stefan:
I was confused by your initial instructions– “3. Select checkbox “Force map vJoy Axes….” (possible from CLS2Sim v4.26.2, beginning march update)”
Just to confirm, this should no longer be done?
03/09/2020 at 19:55 #1932sbrunnerKeymaster03/09/2020 at 20:23 #1942webmaximusParticipantThanks for the input Stefan. I played around a bit with the linearity settings but in the end, I found the best thing was to just leave those settings at default.
03/09/2020 at 20:30 #1949gandalf17Participant2. Open File->Settings in CLS2Sim and select “Use MS Flight Simulator X / MSFS2020”
Is there a new version of CLS2Sim? The checkbox “Force Map vJoy Axes…” should not be checked?
03/09/2020 at 20:40 #1953sbrunnerKeymasterHi all
New veriosn is coming, but old ones also works

Stefan Brunner03/09/2020 at 20:48 #1954dsjameysonParticipantI can also confirm that the CLS2SIM and CLS-E Stick seem to be working now with MSFS 2020.
I had a few minutes to test it with the Skyhawk, and a non-hydraulic profile. I had to turn off the autopilot position setting option, the default minimum force of 20 is too low (needs a 2-3x increase to be usable, for centering and autopilot), and the turbulance effect needs to be dialed down… but that’s all just profile tuning, all the core functionality is there.
I will probably have more time available to work on profile ideas later tonight.

If I follow this, i.e. remove the mappings I had previously, my CLS_E yoke does not work: the virtual yoke does not move with the Brunner yoke. The only thing I am possibly not doing correctly. is not “selecting executable.” Given the installation location of MSFS2020, it is not possible to do so, producing the error message “FlightSimulator.exe The file cannot be accessed by the system.”
04/09/2020 at 00:04 #1971captain737ParticipantWhen Connecting CLS2 sim, while flying an airliner (eg 787/747) the filght director keeps switching on and off. Has anyone the same issue?
