Diego,
I would like to fill out your form but I am confused as to how they relate to my older CLS-E yoke, which REQUIRES vJoy.

Here is the text of the ticket I opened on the Helpdesk:
“In X-Plane 12, using the default C172 (and most probably other aircraft), as soon as the CLS2Sim is connected, the elevator goes to the maximum down position and stays there unless moved by the yoke. Aerodynamic forces have no effect on it, whether engine running, parking brake on and increasing throttle; or, on the take-off roll.
This can be verified by looking at the values of the 2 elevator data output, which go to and remain at -1 and 15 degrees.
What is worse is that disconnecting the hardware in the CLS2Sim software does not change the situation; one has to restart X-Plane for the elevator to be released.”

I do not really care if you don’t, since it is not a password I use anywhere else; and maybe you do not care either since the logon credentials are provided to anyone for the asking.
27/02/2022 at 18:00 #2684mauricecohenParticipantSame here. The password was assigned by Diego Burgin on request only; I expect they will change all passwords to the site and provide us new ones.

If I follow this, i.e. remove the mappings I had previously, my CLS_E yoke does not work: the virtual yoke does not move with the Brunner yoke. The only thing I am possibly not doing correctly. is not “selecting executable.” Given the installation location of MSFS2020, it is not possible to do so, producing the error message “FlightSimulator.exe The file cannot be accessed by the system.”

22/08/2019 at 02:55 #1379mauricecohenParticipantDiego,
Would you please expalin what you meant by:
“3. Delete all axis and button mappings for vJoy in X-Plane.?”
Thanks,
Maurice
24/08/2017 at 17:13 #541mauricecohenParticipantThank you very much for the information.
I have only occasionally looked at the CLS2Sim main window while flying. I believe the simulation update box is yellow most of the time since my frame rates are usually between 30 and 40 and, you are very right about the clouds, go below 30 with any kind of weather. I can hardly upgrade my hardware since I have an i7 7700K overclocked to 4.8 GHZ and an NVidia Titan X Pascal, and my XP11 settings are below max for both objects and visual effects; I do, however drive 3 2560×1440 monitors and always use real weather. (I must have been in bad weather each time I looked at the update rate ;-D) I have not noticed any ill-effect from the low update rates, so no harm done. Until Laminar improves frame rates with code optimization and Vulkan (within one year, I gather), I will be content with trying for 30+ frame rates.
Regarding the Yoke Aileron axis moving to one side, disabling the turbulence feature does remedy the situation for the Baron B58 (the only one I checked). Out of curiosity, can you tell me why the turbulence feature does not induce the same error in the 172?
24/08/2017 at 02:08 #538mauricecohenParticipantI forgot to mention all along that the CLS2Sim main window shows a red “Fault” box for the Simulation with a low number of updates (usually about 10, 13 in the attached screen shot). This is for every aircraft and profile I have tested.

19/08/2017 at 16:19 #530mauricecohenParticipantI am glad to hear that an update is coming. Here are two things that I have found beyond my original posts.
In X-Plane 11, for the default B58 and C90, after landing, slowing down and after the yoke has moved forward under the weight of the elevator, the yoke swings full left with significant roll force. This does not happen with the default 172. (I was mistaken initially about the planes affected by this, about the fact that it was intermittent and later, also mistaken about it being corrected by adjusting the min and max values for the elevator being affected by speed and engine thrust. In fact, it seems that for these 2 planes this behavior is consistently present whether or not either one or both of the boxes are checked, and what values are entered, in Profile manager/General/Yoke physics.)
I have observed that in CLS Profile manager, if 2 profiles are linked to the same aircraft, but neither is set as preferred, only the one that appears first can be used; to use the one that is listed second it must be set as preferred, and then the only way to use the first is to completely remove the link to the second (it might be useful to be able to just remove the preferred tag)
I now have 6 profiles that I use and test (1 hardware trim and 1 software trim for each of the 172, B58 and C90). The most significant change with respect to the ones I attached earlier is the big increase in the CLS Profile manager/Autopilot/Force values. In case they are of interest, I am attaching a zip file containing the 6 profiles.

It appears that you have forgotten me after all.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
All the best,
Maurice
27/07/2017 at 23:41 #472mauricecohenParticipantPS Here is a question that I should have included in the post above: Given that the autopilot works if one does not change the Trim and Speed values, does it mean that in X-Plane one can have realistic trim OR autopilot but NOT BOTH. My experience seems to indicate, yes, not both.
