I have the same issue a restart of the sim works for a bit then issue returns.

Caused plane to roll madly and dive when turning on AP

I had to reset all my profiles to default just so I can use AP now, but don’t want to make any setting changes now for the fear of reintroducing the issue.

Yoke fights against the AP and between the yoke and AP they decide to just kill the pilot instead.

I posted same issue yesterday, only I can not find the post I made yesterday now!

This issue is NOT on Microsofts Major Issue Tracker oddly and is affecting so many customers and developers.

Please check out the following Microsoft Flight Simulator Forum post and add your +1 and comments there if you can to help raise awareness.

I can’t wait to get my yoke working again, so disappointed as a beta tester that we were not given this version to test.

Thanks Also Brunner for getting on top of this issue on our behalf. So many 3rd party developers are affected by this, including me. I’m amazed like other people how MS can go from a decent alpha/beta (which I was on ok) to the badly flawed release. Makes the time I spent testing the beta totally pointless and a waste of my time 🙁

unfortunately as expected that didn’t work for me. It just increased the runway to the same level. while my “urban” grass is now bumpy so are my runways !

I want a very gentle feedback like min/max = 20 on runway and bumpy on urban grass like normal grass is currently.

The ground feedback could do with a little fine tuning. having one bumpy to even slider doesn’t give us much control.

you could remove the bumpy <-> even slider and turn that into a gain control slider where you set the end point increase/decrease to values, then allow individual setting for ground types. Or at least allow us to define what ground surface types go into what group (Even, Medium, Bumpy)

TAS seems to be the obvious selection I totlly agree. I’m not 100% sure if the simulator overspeed warning is monitored as IAS or TAS, but when I set the feedback to a value it never seems to match the sim overspeed warning. even if I tweek the CLS2SIM value up or down its drifts from the simulator overspeed alert.

if the simulator is using IAS in its calculation in the overspeed:bool variable then setting a IAS value would be the only option.

I can’t be certain what’s going on, but regardless I can’t get the feedback to initiate at the same time as the sim overspeed warning kicks in. When I get it close next time it drifts in either direction and assume this is because of IAS/TAS difference? Using the SIM’s overspeed variable seems to be the best fix ?

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

If adding SIM overspeed bool for feedback to start, you might want to think about using the sim stall bool for the stall feedback also? I havn’t noticed an issue with stall yet. I tend to fly too fast not too slow.

It’s not a major issue and no rush to put anything in place, just throwing ideas out there, while I start fine tuning my setup.

Ummm, but wont that change mean asphalt and concrete then also becomes equally more bumpy?, when I don’t want even surface forces to change as I have those just right (barely noticable in a 737).

Shouldn’t Urban be treated as a bumpy surface ?

    Shame it’s not customizable

I’ll have a play with the settings you suggested tonight, thanks for the input…

I’ve done some more testing on this and have found you do have surface type specific feedback. Only No# 10 Urban doesn’t seem to feedback. A lot of grass surfaces around my airports I’m testing on are grass, but display SURFACE TYPE = 10.

I’m not 100% sure what Microsoft meant by Urban, but I’m not sure no feedback is right ? is there anyway I can get No# 10 Urban feedback to be more like grass ?

    Seems there isn’t 🙁

In the end I just mounted it underneath using long screws through the existing holes and left a small gap using tap washers, which reduces temps an additional 5 degrees.

Is there an official solution to this without invalidating the warranty ?

ie taking the handle off and turning ?
